"Terminology for Functional Genomics; pdf file" and "Terminology for Functional Genomics; word file"

Functional Genomics started from Genetic Statistical Analysis on correlation between genome diversity vs. phenotypes.  Functional Genomics now include disease-related transcriptomics and disease-related proteomics.

Functional Genomics is different from and extension of "structural genomis" or "structural proteomics".

The main target of Functional Genomics persued in Institute for Genome Research, the University of Tokushima is to find the molecular mechanims of diseases.

To facilitate the understanding on terminology used in functional genomics, 140 words are explained in "Terminology for Functional Genomics; pdf file", or "Terminology for Functional Genomics; word file".
