Volunteer

Donation of blood, organs including cornea has become popular in Japan, which is bed on the volunteer donation.  

In order to conduct a relatively large scale case-control study on common diseases, it is essential for patients with common diseases including diabetes, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, schizophrenia to donate their blood.  It is also essential for healthy control subjects to donate their blood for the purpose of comparison.  

The donation of genomic DNA and the immortalization of peripheral lymphocytes by EB-virus infection in vivo are the essential step for functional genomics.  To pretect the volunteer's personal right, it is vitally important to have the informed consent form to precess the collection of these valuable voluntary samples.  

Based on the guide line established by 3 Japanese Ministries, we have prepared the informed consent form and in the process of increasing the establishement of immortalized lymphoblest cell lines.  These cell lines can be multiplied in vivo and can supply the sufficient amount of genomic DNA associated with the good quality clinical data.  

We have to ask and appreciate the kind donation of genomic DNA and supply of peripheral blood for the establishement of lymphoblasts.
